Remediation Action Plan

The Remediation Action Plan (RAP) is a formal technical document setting out the strategy and methodology for managing contamination identified on a site. It defines how risks to human health and the surrounding environment will be mitigated so the land can be safely used for its intended purpose.

Key Components

• Remediation Strategy: Selection of suitable remediation methods (such as on-site containment, bioremediation, or off-site disposal to a licensed facility).
• Scope of Works: Clear sequencing of remediation activities, staging plans, and site controls.
• Environmental Controls: Concrete measures to control dust, odour, noise, runoff, and groundwater during ground disturbance.
• Validation Requirements: Testing regimes and sampling benchmarks required to prove remediation objectives have been satisfied.

A RAP establishes the operational roadmap for site works, satisfying development consent conditions and regulatory requirements under NSW EPA guidelines.
