Fire Safety Systems Report

The Fire Safety Systems Report (FSSR) is a formal written report specifying whether the Commissioner of FRNSW is satisfied the relevant fire safety system is capable of performing to at least the standard in the current fire safety schedule for the building. It ensures that systems such as fire detection, alarms, sprinklers, and passive fire protection measures meet relevant regulatory and safety standards.

Key Components

  • System Assessment: Evaluation of installed fire safety systems including alarms, sprinklers, hydrants, and smoke control systems.
  • Compliance Review: Verification against the National Construction Code (NCC), Australian Standards, and relevant authority requirements.
  • Performance Verification: Confirmation that systems operate as intended under fire scenarios.
  • Maintenance & Defects: Identification of any faults, deficiencies, or required upgrades.

An FSSR is critical for maintaining building compliance, supporting certification processes, and ensuring occupant safety in the event of a fire.
